As previously announced, the DIA has taken a leadership role in the editorial team for the important Chapter 4 on “Protocols and Communication Paradigms” of the NetworldEurope Strategic Research & Innovation Agenda (SRIA). Over the past months, the DIA community has provided strong input for shaping this chapter towards a successful integration into the overall document. The current efforts to revise the SRIA are an important input of the networking community into the negotiations for FP10.
The document, previously presented to attendants at the EUCNC 2026 in Malaga at the beginning of June 2026, has now been opened for public consultation!
This is your chance to provide your comments, views, or support the work through positive feedback. It is important for the DIA community to take up this chance since the SRIA provides key topics, research challenges and actions but also motivation for continued funding for our community in FP10. Given the negotiations for the upcoming framework programme, any support is therefore needed to position our R&D vision against the many demands coming from competing areas like AI, HPC, chips, etc. The few minutes of investment on your end will add to the possible success to continued funding for our area!
